About Cecilia Olmypia
My name is Cecilia Olympia Stolzlechner and I am the owner and designer. I originally started making jewelry at 10 years old on the Big Island of Hawaii, where I was raised. My father, an artist, had an enormous influence on me as a child. I grew up in and around craft fairs, selling my fathers art and interacting with people from all corners of the Earth. Ultimately, these early experiences are what inspired me to want to create for a living.
During elementary school, I became fascinated with jewelry. I would meticulously reverse engineer pieces, taking earrings and necklaces apart and would then put them back together again. Eventually a family friend who’s a master at wire wrapping took me under his wing and taught me the art. It was then that Cecilia Olympia the brand was born.
I decided on the brand name at 11 years old. Back then I would sell my jewelry at different craft fairs, all over the island. It was around this time that I also picked up glass blowing. I would hand blow glass beads then design and craft necklaces with them. At 14 years old I became more interested in spending time with friends and doing the whole adolescence thing. Slowly but surely, Cecilia Olympia went dormant.
Fast forward to 2020.
After I had spent roughly the last 10 years of my life drinking/partying and losing touch with my creative side, at 25 years old I decided I needed a major life change. I decided to stop drinking alcohol. With the combination of no longer drinking and the stay-at-home orders of 2020, I found myself with tons of time on my hands. It was during this period that I rediscovered my passion for creating jewelry, and I haven’t looked back since. Cecilia Olympia is here to stay.
Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and confident. I believe that starts within and is reflected through self expression, like fashion, for example. That is why I strive to create stylish, affordable and durable jewelry for all. Every item is hand selected by me.
